Reisterstown Family Chiropractic uses the latest technology in Chiropractic Care. The Insight Subluxation Station has five technologies in one! The five technologies included in this station is a Thermal Scanner, Range of Motion/Inclinometer, Algometer, Heart Rate Variability/Pulse Wave and a Surface EMG.
With this technology we can produce a multidimensional view of our patient's condition that is scientifically valid and reliable, this is something that was never possible before.
The Thermal Scanner
The Thermal Scanner assesses the autonomic nervous system function. How it does this is it measures the skin temperature differentials.
Range of Motion/Inclinometer
The Inclinometer is 3D and allows us to do the rotation with the patient standing upright! It is also hands-free which makes the exam faster and more accurate.
Algometer
The Algometer allows us to obtain accurate information from the sensory portion of the nervous system that measure pain sensitivity along the spine.
Heart Rate Variability
The Pulse Wave Profiler collects Heart Rate Variability. We use this to determine how the autonomic nervous system modulates the heart rate in the baseline or resting state.
Surface EMG
The EMG measures the baseline status and changes in the electrical activity of paraspinal muscles in order to quantify the muscular changes associated with vertebral subluxations. This test helps us see the way muscle energy is being distributed throughout the spine. It can show us how efficient or the lack of muscle energy.
